It was my first experience on a yacht and the most unforgettable in my life. Thanks to Flo and Captain Sunee for that! We spent 7 days at the sea and, to be honest, we really didn’t want it to end. We visited many beautiful islands, snorkeled and peered into the starry sky and met the best sunrises in my life. Looking forward to our next adventure with Captain Sunee and Faraway...read more

6 of us booked a 1 week private Cat charter on Amadeus with Faraway, and it was the best holiday ever. We came from Finland and Canada and from the moment we were picked up from our hotel in Rawai to the final disembarking in Chalong, we were totally spoiled by the amazing crew, top notch food, spacious Mumby cat and detailed planning/logistics and of course all the beautiful...read more

SIM card Wi-Fi is provided, covering approximately 80% of the sailing area.

Yes, a kayak and a stand-up paddleboard are available for rent during the charter.

Check-in and check-out are both at 11:00 AM, with the meeting time at 10:30 AM at our office, which can be found using the provided Google Maps link.

We do not provide sunblock, so guests are advised to bring their own. However, towels, soap, and shampoo are included.

Single cabins are available for rent. Please refer to the provided link for pricing information.

The sailing itineraries for cabin charters are fixed to ensure the best experience for all guests.

Yes, there are 220V outlets available in the saloon area, though cabins do not have individual outlets. We recommend charging devices during the day when the solar panels fully charge the batteries.

For privacy reasons, guest information is confidential, but we can provide general age ranges upon request.

Cabins are not equipped with air conditioning. However,  the cabins are equipped with fans and built-in hatches, which provides excellent airflow.

Yes, we will send a preference form to guests before the trip where they can indicate any dietary requirements.

Trips are only canceled if the Marine Department issues a sailing ban for vessels under 15 meters. In rare cases, we may adjust the route to more sheltered areas, though this happens only once or twice a year only.

Cabin charters are open to guests aged 12 years and older.

Yes, guests should bring cash in Thai Baht to pay for National Park fees, as well as one dinner ashore, which is not included in the package. Drinks onboard are also available for purchase.

Yes, night swimming is allowed, but it must be done under the supervision of the crew.

English is the primary language onboard. The crew is also fluent in Thai.

For safety reasons, there is a designated smoking area onboard.

Bluetooth speakers are available onboard. However, all guests must agree before playing music.

Yes, the deck has plenty of shaded areas for guests to relax.

The crew is trained to handle common medical issues and there is a well-stocked first aid kit onboard. We also have a trained pharmacist in the team who can offer recommendations. In serious cases, we can arrange for a speedboat transfer to the nearest medical facility.

Hairdryers are not provided, as they consume too much power. Guests may use the 220V outlet in the saloon if necessary, but outlets are not available in the cabins.

While the itineraries are fixed, adjustments may be made depending on sea and wave conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.

Any issues should first be reported to the captain. If the captain is unable to resolve the matter, guests can contact our office via email, phone, or WhatsApp at info@far-away.net or +66 61 234 5623.

From the founder of Faraway Yachting:

By doing an overnight charter You skip the speedboat mass tourism crowd that is usually around from 11:00 in the morning to about 14:30. This way You get the best spots for nearly to Yourself. We try to sail exactly at the time when the spots are crowded, so we can enjoy them before and after the crowd.

The area is massive and there is plenty of competition for this kind of trip. While the competition focuses on profitability by keeping engine hours low, making only short ways and staying close byWe did the opposite and focused on having the best itinerary paired with an outstanding crew to create a unique experience for You. Most trips go up north to Phang Nga Bay where the water is not clear at all and where there are even more tourists.

We focused on a clear water trip, so you can enjoy Your dip in the warm ocean even more, while having a even more beautiful scenery!

As a captain, I sailed around the world for 5 years. Later on, I got to discover the sailing grounds around South East Asia for over 15 years. And I can tell this is still my favorite sailing itinerary!!

It has it all: from clear water over sightseeing to even calm and relaxed spots!

I hope to welcome you as a guest soon, so you can convenience yourself.

Sunny regards from Phuket,

Wolfgang Riessbacher
