Itinerary
  • Day 1Koh Phi PhiTransfer from the airport or from your hotel to Chalong, where the ship is moored. At 11 AM, you can board the Amadeus and settle into your cabin. After an orientation by the Captain, the Amadeus sets off at around 11:30 AM.

In about two hours, we will reach the Koh Mai Thon Island, where you can enjoy the warm, clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Then you will have your first taste of our chef ’s delicious cooking. After lunch, we will set sail again, this time for Ko Phi Phi Don.

There you can wander through the streets, have a drink at a bar, or relax with a massage. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner aboard the ship. This will be our first overnight location.

  • Day 2 – Koh Lanta

We set sail for Kantiang Beach in Ko Lanta, This is one of the larger islands and it offers great unspoiled beaches and the island is covered with natural forests inviting you to join for a walk to a waterfall. Good shoes are required, as you will be partially walking through the stream to reach the waterfall. After you return, we sail a bit further South to a secluded anchorage and here we have a great small restaurant with excellent Thai cuisine. This will give you the chance to eat out for a change and experience real Thai hospitality. (The dinner and drinks on shore are not included in the price).

  • Day 3 – Koh Rok Nok

On this day, breakfast will be served while we sail. Our destination: Ko Muk Island.

Here you can visit the Emerald Cave, where a breath-taking surprise awaits you.

Once again, we will hoist our big sails, and with good wind, we are on the way to a good place to visit: Ko Rok Nok Island, which we will reach in about two hours. This area is world-famous for its snorkeling and diving, and it boasts the most beautiful beach of the Andaman Sea.

The water is crystal clear, and the Range of sea life in the Coral Sea will amaze you. In the evening, we’ll set up a barbecue on the white sand, which you can enjoy under a beautiful sunset.

  • Day 4 – Maya Bay

You really don’t want to leave right away. Before we set off, make sure to take one last dip in this gorgeous natural setting.

On the way to Ko Phi Phi Leh, we will stop for more snorkeling at Ko Ha. You might be able to catch some tuna for very fresh sashimi along the way.

Just in time for a spectacular sunset, we arrive at Maya Bay. This is where the film “The Beach” was shot. We will spend the night here. Please note, from Maya Bay we are not allowed to go on the beach, but we can access it from Losama Bay, walk through the back of Phi Phi Leh and reach the beach ( we will go there the next morning).

This was an excellent decision from the government, to keep the beach clear of visiting speed boats and longtail boats.

  • Day 5 – Ko Racha Yai

At seven in the morning, the world is just waking up. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee as you contemplate the morning light in Maya Bay.

Then we sail to Losama Bay, from where you can access Maya beach.

After a nice breakfast, we set sail and head to Ko Racha Yai Island.

With luck, you might be able to see a pod of bottlenose dolphins along the way.

The bay we will spend the night in is very secluded, and there will be different activities possible there before we drop anchor.

  • Day 6 – Chalong Bay

After breakfast, the ship will take you back to Phuket’s Chalong Bay. We will arrive around 11 a.m., and you will disembark with unforgettable memories. Of course, we will make sure get you to the airport on time, or take you to your hotel.

Should the owner be unable, even through no fault of his own, to deliver the chartered yacht or a similar yacht at the commencement of the charter period, he is obliged to reimburse a pro-rata sum of the charter fee.

Complaints
Should a client have a complaint he/she is to inform the skipper of the yacht, or in case of the bareboat charter, the guest is to inform the shore base. Skipper or shore base will do the utmost to rectify the problem. Complaints, which have not first been expressed to the skipper (or to the shore base in case of bareboat charter) cannot be taken into consideration.

Itinerary
  • Day 1 – Phuket

Sa-wadee! Welcome to Phuket, arguably Thailand’s best known island and certainly it’s largest. Phuket is an island of modern pizazz mixed with sunshine exotica and you’ll meet your skipper and other group members today at 1 pm. Begin your journey across the Andaman Sea with a sail towards Ko Rang Yai Island, where the boat will drop anchor in front of a private beach. This is the perfect place to ease in to life on board – enjoy a dip in the water, dinner on board and a beautiful sunset.

Notes: As the space on board the Cataleya is limited, it’s recommended to bring a small soft-sided bag or a backpack. If you are travelling with a larger bag or suitcase, you can leave your luggage at our base in Chalong and take a small overnight or daypack on board.

The beauty of sailing is that each day is unique and, while we have a destination to reach, if the weather changes or something takes the group’s fancy, we are flexible on the day’s itinerary. The itinerary is subject to change and may vary depending on weather and berth availability. Your skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.

  • Day 2-4 -Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi Island

Begin your exploration by cruising into the famous Phang Nga Bay, the stunning backdrop to many a film and perhaps one of Thailand’s most recognizable gems, a landscape of sheer limestone karsts that jut dramatically out of the green water. Explore the remote islands that dot the sea and enjoy lunch in Ko Roi, then head to Ko Phanak and grab a kayak to paddle through the bays and canyons, discovering inlets, caves, hidden lagoons and the local wildlife. Next up is an opportunity to explore the underwater world as you snorkel off the beach at Ko Pak Bia, then cruise through to an isolated spot in the bay’s north-east between Ko Klui and Ko Chang. Spend the evening slumped in a bean bag surrounded by turquoise blue water, and take a break from reading, eating and drinking to watch the sun dip beneath the waves.

Halfway between the island of Ko Yao Noi and Krabi, Ko Hong is a truly pristine island destination, uninhabited except for gibbons, birds, and lizards, where two powdery white sand beaches line twin bays. The name translates to ‘Room’, and this might refer to the tranquil lagoon hidden inside the island. Here you’ll take out the dinghy or a kayak and explore the sea caves before stopping on the quintessential image of a tropical beach for swimming and snorkeling. Strap on a mask and mingle with a wealth of curious marine life, or perhaps chill out on deck with a good book and a bowl of fresh fruit. Your sailing day ends at Railey Beach, a paradise with sheer-sided limestone mountains around the several beaches. Take in a stunning sunset then have dinner ashore amid the cluster of lively restaurants and bars.

Spend an early morning on Railey Beach then sail through the Chicken Islands group to the most talked about place in Thailand – Ko Phi Phi. For many, this is the iconic image of the country – two islands connected by a great arc of pure white sand, striking limestone cliffs and unbelievably inviting water. Travelers are drawn to the island thanks to its colorful marine life, shops, bars, restaurants and fire spectacles on the beach.

  • Day 4-6 – Phi Phi island – Ko Yao Yai – Ko Racha Yai

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast prepared by your onboard chef then pull up anchor and sail north for some snorkeling in the sparkling waters off Nui Beach. Brightly colored fish dart here and there, just inches from your mask, and once you’ve delved into the marine world you’ll continue northwest to the undeveloped, unspoilt island of Ko Yao Yai. Here you’ll find lovely beaches surrounded by mangroves, and around the beautiful bays there’s excellent snorkeling, leafy forest trails and sea kayaking to choose from. It’s a great place to relax away from the tourist trail and absorb the natural wonders, somewhere where glimpses of traditional island culture are still seen. Later this evening, head out to the beach to cap off another unforgettable day with a BBQ, maybe grilling up some fresh fish caught earlier in the day. Relax the night away beside a fire pit and watch the sun sink beneath the waves.

Set sail across a postcard landscape of shimmering azure waters and island-studded bays southwest to Ko Racha. Known for their clear water, these islands are a great destination for snorkeling and are home to mainly farmers and fishermen. The hardest decision you’ll have to make today is how you’ll enjoy these fine powder white sandy beaches. Get active in the warm and inviting water with activities like kayaking or paddle boarding, or head ashore to take a walk across the island, passing coconut groves and the occasional water buffalo grazing, and be treated to some spectacular views. Later, dine at a local restaurant and enjoy fragrant Thai dishes washed down with a cold local brew before returning to the ship. Perhaps you choose to spend the final evening of your aquatic adventure sleeping under the stars out on the deck.

  • Day 7 – Back to Phuket

A smooth sail brings you to your final destination of Phuket Island around 11:00. Stop for your last chance to paddle, swim and snorkel in the waters of the Andaman Sea, spotting schools of brightly colored fish off the coast before docking in Phuket. It has some excellent beaches and a huge array of restaurants, hotels, bars and shopping, so perhaps take a couple of extra days here to check it all out. This is where your Andaman seafaring odyssey comes to an end. Afterwards you are free to explore all that Phuket has to offer, or to continue your onward journey.

Itinerary
  • Day 1 – Phuket

Sa-wadee! Welcome to Phuket, arguably Thailand’s best known island and certainly it’s largest. Phuket is an island of modern pizzazz mixed with sunshine exotica. It has excellent beaches and a huge array of restaurants, hotels, bars and shopping, so consider arriving a couple of days early to check it out.

Be ready to board and meet your skipper and other group members at 1pm then, after an orientation of the yacht, begin your journey across the Andaman Sea with a sail towards Ko Rang Yai Island. This the perfect place to ease into life on board. The boat will drop anchor in front of a private beach and there’ll be plenty of time for a dip in the water, a relaxing dinner on board and a beautiful sunset.

Special Information

The beauty of sailing is that each day is unique and, while we have a destination to reach, if the weather changes or something takes the group’s fancy, we are flexible on the day’s itinerary. The itinerary is subject to change and may vary depending on weather and berth availability. Your skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.

  • Day 2 – Phang Nga Bay

Enjoy breakfast onboard then begin your exploration by cruising into the famous Phang Nga Bay, the stunning backdrop to many a film and perhaps one of Thailand’s most recognizable gems, a landscape of sheer limestone karsts that jut dramatically out of the green water.

  • Day 3 – Ko Hong & Railey Beach

Halfway between the island of Ko Yao Noi and Krabi, Ko Hong is a truly tropical island destination, uninhabited except for gibbons, birds, and lizards, where two powdery white sand beaches line twin bays. Your sailing day ends beachside in Railey, a paradise with sheer-sided limestone mountains around the beach. Take in a stunning sunset then have dinner ashore amid the cluster of lively restaurants and bars. Back on the boat you can choose to spend the final night of this fabulously relaxing Thailand sailing adventure sleeping out on the deck under the stars.

  • Day 4 – Ko Phi Phi

Spend an early morning on Railey Beach (before everyone arrives), then sail through the Chicken Islands group to the most talked about place in Thailand – Ko Phi Phi. For many, this is the iconic image of the country – two islands connected by a great arc of pure white sand, striking limestone cliffs, and unbelievably inviting water. Travelers are drawn to the island thanks to its colorful marine life, shops, bars, restaurants and fire spectacles on the beach. Try to spot schools of brightly colored fish off the coast of Phi Phi before sailing on to Phi Phi Don, where you’ll dock by approximately 12 noon. This is where this Andaman seafaring odyssey comes to an end, and afterwards you’re free to explore all that Phi Phi has to offer or to continue your onward journey.
